MalaysiaFerry.com is an online booking platform that helps you search, compare, and book ferry tickets across multiple routes and operators. Your booking confirmation is issued after successful payment, and your ticket is delivered by email.

You can browse routes via “Book a ferry” and “Route & Port finder.” The site lists routes and ports across Malaysia and nearby destinations (including international crossings depending on route/operator availability).

In most cases, you can book without creating an account. However, having an account can make it easier to manage your bookings and access member features like reward points (if applicable).

On the booking form, an Adult is defined as 12 years of age or older, a Child as under 12 years of age, and Infants have a specific maximum limit (usually up to 2). Exact fare rules may vary by route/operator.

Yes. All passengers above the age of 3 are required to purchase a seat/ticket.

No. Tickets are issued in the passenger’s name, are personal and non-transferable, and are valid only for the date and trip shown on the ticket.

The site supports multiple currencies, and you can select your preferred currency from the menu. The amount shown at checkout is the amount you’ll pay (subject to your bank/card provider’s exchange rules if applicable).

Many search results display pricing as “Taxes incl.” Always review the full price breakdown at checkout before you pay.

If you cancel with Refund Insurance (where eligible), the refund applies to the ticket price based on your insurance tier, excluding service fees and other fees.

The FAQ page shows PayPal as a payment option, and you may also pay by credit/debit card through PayPal’s card checkout (where available). Payment methods shown at checkout can vary.

If you already have a PayPal account, log in to PayPal during checkout and click the Pay Now button to complete payment.

Yes. On the PayPal page, choose Pay with Debit or Credit Card, fill in your card details, and confirm payment.

After a successful payment, please wait briefly while the system redirects you back to our website to confirm your booking is complete. Your ticket will be sent to your email automatically.

First, check your email inbox and spam/junk folders. If you still can’t find the confirmation, contact support with your booking details so the team can help locate your ticket.

Once your booking is completed, your ferry ticket (e-ticket) will be sent to your email automatically.

Requirements may vary by operator/terminal. In general, you should be ready to present your e-ticket (digital or printed) and your ID/passport at the counter to collect your boarding pass.

Contact support as soon as possible with your booking number and passenger name. The team can advise what is possible based on operator rules and ticket status.

Cancellations must be requested at least 96 hours in advance. If your travel date/time is within 96 hours, no refunds will be granted. If you purchased Refund Insurance, your refund amount depends on the tier you selected (100% / 70% / 50% of ticket price, excluding service/other fees).

Refund Insurance is an optional add-on that can allow a partial or full refund of the ticket price (excluding service/other fees) if you cancel within the stated terms. Available tiers are 100% / 70% / 50%, depending on what you chose during booking.

If your cancellation is eligible, refunds are processed within 7–14 business days back to the original payment method.

Changes depend on the operator’s rules. Because tickets are issued in the passenger’s name and are non-transferable, many changes may require cancellation and rebooking and/or additional fees.

Generally no. If you miss your departure or fail to board on time, you will be charged the full fare and will not be refunded.

Passengers must check in at the operator’s counter at least 45 minutes before departure. For international routes, allow extra time for immigration clearance and ensure you have all required documents.

You must present your documents (ID/passport as required) along with your e-ticket and collect your boarding pass at the counter. For international travel, you are responsible for meeting immigration requirements (passport validity, visas, etc.).

If you fail to complete check-in on time and miss your ferry, you will be responsible for any additional travel costs to reach your destination.

The operator may charge additional costs directly if passenger counts/age category do not match the voucher/ticket conditions.

Passengers are typically allowed up to 2 pieces of baggage with a combined maximum weight of 15 kg.

Policies vary by operator and pier. If your baggage exceeds the allowance, the operator may charge extra fees at the terminal.

The company is not responsible for damage or loss of luggage retained under the passenger’s personal care during the trip.

If you require special assistance or special arrangements onboard, inform the company at least 72 hours before departure. Assistance is subject to availability and operator discretion.

You should disclose pregnancy and any relevant medical condition at the time of reservation. If you are more than 26 weeks pregnant, a medical certificate certifying fitness to travel may be required.

If your condition may affect your fitness to travel, you may be required to provide a medical certificate confirming you are fit to travel, and you should inform the company in advance.

Some routes may include shuttle/van/bus services. Vehicle type, seating, and itineraries can change without prior notice depending on operational needs. Always follow the pickup details shown on your ticket/confirmation.

If you wait at the wrong boarding/pick-up point, the company is not responsible for missed services. Please verify your pickup point carefully.

You can register using your name, email, and password on the Register page, or sign in using Google/Facebook where available.

Use the “Forgot your password” function and enter the email address associated with your account to reset your password.

For members, reward points may be earned and redeemed under the program terms. For example: earn 1 point per 10 MYR spent, points cannot be converted to cash or transferred, daily redemption limits apply, and points expire 2 years after the last booking date (terms may change).

Yes. Members must log in before payment to accumulate reward points.
